Founder & CEO
The common thread in Alyssa’s nearly three-decade career in public relations and her entrepreneurial journey is her passion for shaping narratives of beloved impact brands and elevating the profiles of public figures who create transformational experiences for people of all ages, and backgrounds, nationwide and globally.
As the CEO and Founder of AM Mediaworks, Alyssa works with leading corporations, global nonprofits, and notable innovators in education and online learning. A seasoned strategic communications professional, she has spearheaded integrated PR campaigns for clients of all sizes across various industries, with a proven track record of securing prominent media coverage and Op-Eds that set trends.
Before founding AM Mediaworks in 2009, Alyssa was a C-level executive at 5WPR, where she helped build one of the fastest-growing PR agencies in the U.S. and led an Emmy Award-winning campaign for Wolfgang’s Vault.
Earlier in her career, she was a tour publicist for artists like Jamiroquai, Fiona Apple, Britney Spears, and NSYNC. Alyssa also co-founded Prenatal Yoga Studio in NYC in 2001, where she taught yoga to expectant mothers. A dedicated volunteer at Exhale to Inhale, Alyssa enjoys surfing, all that NYC has to offer, global travel, and meeting family, friends and colleagues along the way!

With extensive experience across corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors, Stacey has built a reputation for providing strategic guidance that enhances brand visibility and fosters meaningful engagement with media, peers, influencers, and policymakers.
Stacey's expertise spans strategic communications, media relations, public affairs, partnership development, research, media training and message crafting. Her passion lies at the intersection of education and communications, where she excels in helping the organizations she partners with articulate their stories in ways that resonate with their goals and values.
Throughout her career, Stacey has held senior roles at leading public relations firms, where she has developed comprehensive communication strategies and cultivated strong relationships with key media outlets. She has successfully served as the lead media strategist for many organizations, securing placements in prestigious media outlets such as The Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, National Public Radio, the TODAY Show, and the Associated Press.
In addition to her professional work, she is an active mentor and speaker, sharing her knowledge and experience with the next generation of communication professionals.
Stacey holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a focus on Public Relations from The Ohio State University. During her time at Ohio State, she contributed to The Lantern, the university's newspaper, covering undergraduate student government. Beyond her professional endeavors, Stacey served as PTA President at Kenmore Middle School in Arlington, VA, where her two sons attended.

Sr Communications AdvisorTim Nelson is a PR and corporate communications strategist with extensive experience across technology and B2B sectors. He specializes in media relations, executive communications, content development and social media strategy – and has led integrated campaigns at companies ranging from early-stage startups to global tech leaders.
With a passion for storytelling during moments of change and transformation, Tim is focused on helping clients see the connective tissue across communications channels and audiences – activating campaigns that are visible across paid, earned, shared and owned channels. He connects the dots between communication strategy and tactical execution, with a goal of leading communications programs that deliver business results.
Tim is based in Minneapolis and has his M.A. in strategic communication from the University of Minnesota’s Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

Sr Communications AdvisorLucia Weathers is an accomplished entrepreneur and strategic communications contractor with over twenty years of experience in corporate communications, crisis communications, public relations, and photography.
Before embarking on her journey as an entrepreneur, Lucia served in corporate roles as a marketing communications professional for several national organizations focused on philanthropy and federal policy, such as Lumina Foundation, Strada Education Foundation, and Stand Together.
She also gained valuable experience in state government during her tenure at the Hoosier Lottery, an Indiana State Agency. Lucia began her corporate career at the American Legion Auxiliary National Headquarters, a national female veterans’ membership- based organization in Indianapolis. Her passion for corporate and media communications was ignited during internships at The American Legion National Headquarters, Riley Children’s Foundation (affiliated with Riley Hospital for Children), and WTHR- Channel 13 (the NBC-television affiliate), while she was a student at Butler University.
Lucia holds a bachelor’s degree in public and corporate communication with a focus on journalism and public relations from Butler University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Anderson University. She is a strong advocate for lifelong learning and kindness.
